WINNING IN LOVE

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:13‬ ‭NIV‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Love is a very common word that we use daily. It is believe to always express how strongly we feel about a person or thing. It is a deep emotion that makes us feel good about ourselves. In the Bible we learned that one of  the gifts of the spirit is Love, and that it never fails. The amplified version in 1 Corinthians 13:8 further elucidate it as never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end….

I remember an experience I had some time back when I felt someone I loved so much took my love for granted, I was so upset and felt I was cheated and whenever I remember, IT hurts. THIS almost led to resentment towards the person and believing I would never love anyone else again, but suddenly I remember what the Bible says in 1 John 4:8 “ He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is Love. It became evident for me that the only way for me to win over this pain and hurt was to love this person irrespective of what or how I was hurt.

John chapter 3 verse 16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who so ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life". Even when we were yet sinners who were wallowing in sin, God gave us his precious life to die for us so that We might all be saved. He won over the power of sin and death through the ultimate sacrifice of his dear son.

recognize that in order for you to make progress and win completely in every area of your life, you must make up your mind and be determined to walk in love always. owe no one nothing but love this new year.
