CLEANSING BY THE WORD

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you - John 15:3. Pastor Seun had this to say, apart from the fact that business is at its peak... praise God for that.... my husband and I have been very busy with the new ministry, so I have been super busy and my dear car has been on the receiving end of all this, very dirty is an understatement. So on our way from church on Sunday, hubby made a statement that he was going to give my car a good bath....this statement sounded so funny to the kids but to me it got me thinking. Some of us Christians have gotten so busy with life and situations around us that we seriously need spiritual bathing. We have allowed situations to pollute our hearts and minds that we seriously need to spiritually cleanse ourselves with the Word, Ephesians 5:26 says “That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word...” Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude]....Romans 12:2. Let the word of God consume your heart and mind, refuse to be a lukewarm Christian who goes with the flow. Be selective with the information you allow into your spirit. Let God's Word be your standard.
